The Oak Hill Memorial Association, a not-for-profit organization, has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing the historic Oak Hill Cemetery since 1913. The Association’s mission is to share the historic and cultural importance of Oak Hill Cemetery through community outreach, and to preserve and improve the existing facilities to leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

Basic maintenance of the cemetery is funded by the City of Birmingham, but repair, restoration, and renovation of the many historic structures is the responsibility of the Association.  For this work, we need your help.  The Association is in the process of a preservation campaign that includes much-needed work to the outer walls of the cemetery, preservation of the mausoleums, development of an alternate entrance for service vehicles and foot traffic, and many others.  Please contact the Association office for more information or a copy of our Master Plan.
